A little while ago on a beautiful west coast day we welcomed Alder, one of the best IPA brewers in Europe, to our brewery. Marco has built a highly respected and award-winning brewery just north of Milan, and in recent years has produced some of the best IPAs we’ve tasted. This beer is heavily influenced by Marco’s playbook, but features some of our favorite dank hops: Strata and Simcoe for tropical fruit, rounded out by the distinctive old-school pine resin aromas of Simcoe. Meanwhile, CTX Strata is a concentrated cryogenic hop that amplifies some of Strata’s core flavors. A wonderful marriage of modern and classic.
